Off the grid

The distance from Egilsstadir to lake Myvatn is about 165 kilometers and it was clear we wouldn't be able to bike it in a single day, not with the strong head wind that hit us when we rolled out of the campsite this morning. We managed 100 kilometers by willpower and chocolate, and tomorrow we should be able to reach Reykjahlid, the main town by Myvatn.

So here we are, in our small orange tent, close to the road by a small stream. The raindrops are dancing on the tent and it's actually pretty cozy, but getting dressed in our ice cold and wet bike gear tomorrow morning is a task we'd rather not think about right now.
